Description:

As an Advanced
Electrical Failure & Fault Isolation (EFFI) Engineer at IM Flash
Technologies, LLC, your main responsibility will be identifying and
communicating electrical failures and design issues that limit wafer yield,
implement new Yield Enhancement (YE) systems, improve team interaction,
increase YE productivity and contribute to transforming YE into a high
performance team. You must also complete all required safety training and
conduct work in a safe manner.




Responsibilities
include:


Provide
solutions to difficult electrical yield problems
Serve a key role
in implementing new methods for yield analysis and new ways to improve YE
efficiencies
Create/participate
in multi-area focus teams to troubleshoot complex yield issues
Use advanced
understanding of device architecture, layout, and process to create new
ways to solve YE problems
Provide expert
guidance to team members in using systematic approach to solve complex and
challenging problems
Actively engage
with other Fabs, sharing BKMs and yield learning
Recognize and
takes the lead in addressing gaps in existing YE processes
Follow plans and
project steps defined by others, and serve as an individual contributor to
technical projects
Use knowledge of
semiconductor device physics, electronics, and semiconductor manufacturing
process to explain/resolve yield issues
Partner closely
with YE engineers, Physical Failure Analysis (PFA), and Advanced Imaging
Lab groups, and understand their constraints and improve communication and
workload balance
Listen to
customer feedback, recognizes opportunities and provides feedback for
technical innovation
Apply project
management skills to small projects or parts of larger projects, plans for
complex projects with multiple areas and extended timeframes
Must be able to
exchange complex information with colleagues/managers
Responsible for
aspects of YE including:
Fab and Process
Integration support
Support a
specific or multiple generation semiconductor memory parts
Support transfer
of next generation technology from Research & Development (R&D) to
production Fab as and when necessary
Write clear,
concise reports, offer daily presentations/yield reports, as needed, to
explain yield, electrical, and physical deviations
Coordinate all
EFA activities on their specific part type to explain and improve yields
Probe/Product
Yield Analysis (PYA) Support
Work with PYA
regarding part type transfer and first silicon activities
Work with Probe
to understand correlation issues vs process yield limiters
Take
responsibility for wafer-level reliability EFA/PFA and provide feedback to
the PYA/PFA team
Characterize
design marginalities using EFA/PFA data and feedback to stakeholders
Provide YE
EFA/PFA considerations to PYA on assigned projects including
characterizations, testing non-correlations, microprobing, and circuit
analysis


Qualifications

Degree Required: MS or equivalent foreign education

Academic Discipline(s): Electrical, Electronics, or Materials
Engineering; or Physics; or Computer Science

Experience
Required: None



Successful candidate
must have:


Excellent
understanding of semiconductor fabrication process knowledge
Good knowledge
and understanding working with tools like JMP, ESDA or any graphical tools
used to differentiate samples/populations and come up with root cause
analysis
Good
understanding of electrical and/or physical failure analysis
Good computer
skills for analysis, report writing and documentation particularly of
technical problems and/or issues
An understanding
or knowledge working with complex electrical data and be able to
communicate it to both colleagues and supervisors
Excellent
project management skills and planning for complex projects involving
multiple areas and extended timelines
Led and/or
contributed in multi-area focus team to solve complex yield problems
