Job Summary



With general direction from the Validation Manager, the Validation Technician III assures the quality of Laird products by performing inspections, tests, defect analysis, troubleshooting, visual inspection, using equipment, and reporting on results of measurement standards.



Responsibilities



- Performs testing on manufactured products determining appropriate test to be performed

- Interprets internal and customer specifications to determine acceptable from rejectable products

- Prepares complete technical reports summarizing findings with recommendations for solutions for technical problems.

- Develop and maintain filing system of inspection records for products

- Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards

- Perform other related duties and assignments as required

- Organization and attention to detail as it relates to product testing



Requirements



- Ability to read and interpret general prints

- Ability to maintain and use precision measuring instruments

- Ability to operate inspection/lab equipment

- Computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, and database management software

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Good interpersonal and organizational skills

- Background in RF and or Electrical field preferred

- Fundamental knowledge of mathematical concepts

- Must have good or corrected eyesight to insure quality of work

- Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds frequently

- Willingness to work overtime, and off hours as required by the projects

- Comfortable working in a lab environment

- Valid and current drivers license



Education & Experience Request



- High school diploma with additional technical courses in Engineering or Quality fields preferred

- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

- Minimum 5 or more years Product Validation experience in manufacturing
