The Network Engineer leads the implementation, operation, and support of enterprise network utilizing standard monitoring tools required to measure network and application performance. Supports the implementation and operation of enterprise network: including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the enterprise local area network (LAN). The Network Engineer will also take a lead role in enterprise load balancers and technologies such as Cisco's Identity Services Engine. Maintains technical currency and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet organizational needs. Presents information to management that may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Master's degree preferred.
Four (4) years of experience required.
Enterprise experience in data communications and multi-vendor computer/network/telephony operating systems that includes experience in network design and implementation is required.
Must have experience in/or demonstrated proficiency in project management, network support and design, and leadership skills.
Eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Cisco Certified Network Associate is required.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is required.
