Purpose and Summary of Position:
Identifies, develops and implements programs to improve unit profitability, reliability, quality, safety and reduce variability.
Ensures unit technical and procedural systems operate properly.
Stewards the Management of Change program for the unit.
Monitors the status of projects and drives them to completion.
Leads unit shutdown efforts by coordinating project & maintenance activities with production plan.
Tracks unit on-stream reliability/asset utilization, efficiences, energy usage, raw material usage, etc., and reports as necessary.
Motivates self and others to achieve unit goals and objectives.
Provides guidance to team members, leads problem solving processes and root cause analyses.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field firmly required.
3+ years experience working in a similar role.
Manufacturing plant processes.
Strong computer skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.
Effective communication skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization.
Ability to organize/prioritize thoughts and actions to help achieve unit objectives and long-term vision.
Strongly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a team based environment.
Ability to lead teams towards a common goal.
Six Sigma Certification
Knowledgeable with experience in Celanese work processes, policies, and procedures.
Root Cause Analysis Training (Cause Mapping, Tap Root, etc.)
Knowledge of HCHO Chemistry
Strong technical engineering skills; including knowledge of process safety engineering (PHAs, MOC, and safety interlock systems)
