Job Description:

Preparation of construction documents and specificationsPreparation of reportsField visits during design or constructionPreparation for and attendance and participation in public meetingsMaintain organized files for both hardcopy and electronic filesGenerate the scope, schedule and budget parameters for roadway design projects.Manage the execution of projects within the scope, schedule and budget.Manage design staff including mentoring and training.Report project performance to the ATCS SW Operations Manager on a weekly basis.Identify and resolve issues related to the performance of the project, including the generation of supplemental scope, schedule and budget requests.Develop and implement QA/ QC plans for projects.Manage sub consultants performance.Supervise and train design engineers and technicians who are direct reports to the Supervisor.Perform Annual Performance Reviews and participate in compensation analysis for the direct reports to this Supervisor. Requirements BSCE or equivalent degree required. PE required. 8-15 years of applicable roadway design experience in Virginia and/or North Carolina. Microstation, GeoPak, & InRoads experience required. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus. Familiarity with AASHTO, VDOT, and NCDOT design standards, practices and policies.
