Job description: Quality Assurance technician ensures the product meets the required quality standards. The QA technician role is an operational role in a manufacturing environment that is responsible for executing and performing against established processes and standards. Responsibilities: Utilize established sampling/inspection plans and procedures. Monitor quality attributes to assure compliance to specified requirements. Document, analyze & report test results and communicate to QA management and Manufacturing Verify/Calibrate laboratory & manufacturing equipment Perform in-process inspections to ensure product acceptability. Collect product samples. Perform other duties as directed by supervision. Qualifications: Minimum: Associates degree from a two-year college. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - in English. Ability to operate and maintain laboratory instruments. Good math, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word. Ability to work any shift and overtime as necessary: May include occasional weekends. Flexibility is imperative - overtime within the same work day may be required on short notice. Minimum: six months of quality experience. Experience in a manufacturing setting is also preferred. Must be able to work with a diverse workforce - both independently and in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Extensive walking is required throughout the shift. 20.00 hr
