We have an immediate opening for a Technical Support Engineer in our Atlanta, GA office. Successful candidates will have or will be pursuing a multi-year degree in Information Technology, IT Management, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent level of experience in a similar field, as well as experience with, but not limited to: ability to react quickly and effectively in a high pressure, time-sensitive environment, and excellent customer service and communications skills. They will provide exceptional customer-oriented support for software implementations and on-going maintenance. Key Areas of ResponsibilityProvide consulting to customer IT divisions for proper infrastructure setup and install proprietary software as part of a larger deployment teamDocument and educate customer on software installation design and settingsDirectly interact with customers to resolve urgent production and non-production issuesDetail customer interactions and document knowledgebase articles and/or product enhancements to empower customers for self-supportLimited travel Successful candidate will have experience with: Linux/Unix Server Operating SystemDatabases including SQL, Structured Query LanguagePerl, Oracle, and the ability to read Java source code is preferredWindows Server AdministrationContact Centers In addition, a successful candidate will have one or more of the following skills:Previous management experience - technical or non-technicalExperience working with computersCommunication of technical information to nontechnical audiencesExperience interacting with customers and management with varied experience and personalities
