Job Description

The following Position Description defines the role of a Team Leader. While a Team Leader's main role is to maintain and set-up the equipment to perform at optimum levels at all times, he or she also has some leadership responsibilities of directing his / her team in certain situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventive maintenance as assigned daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
  • Perform all equipment set-ups and adjustments to equipment to ensure quality compliance to all measurable attributes.
  • Perform scheduled equipment audits to determine condition versus manufacture specifications.
  • Maximize uptime of the assigned equipment by making necessary adjustments to achieve operational standards.
  • Organize changeovers in advance to minimize unnecessary downtime.
  • Build quality into the product as a result of effective PM's and equipment set up / adjustments.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement efforts outside of Root Cause / Corrective Action by offering suggestions on equipment setup and/or work methods to reduce nonconformance and productivity losses.
  • Follow all safety rules & regulations; exemplifying the belief that working safe is a condition of employment and that all injuries are preventable.
  • Support plant safety efforts by leading by example:
    • Inspect assigned equipment to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
    • Verify all safety devices on assigned equipment are in tact and properly secured at all times.
    • Follow all energy isolation requirements.
  • Have the ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, twist, lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment for an 8-12 hour workday.

Have the ability to work overtime on any shift as required.
