Job Description:

TIG is currently seeking an innovative Senior Network Engineer to join our unique team of talented individuals. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support during the prepare phase, the planning phase, the design phase and the implementation phase of project work. The Senior Network Engineer is also responsible for leading and supporting outages, and may act as a Project Implementation Manager when needed. Duties and responsibilities Assist in BOM/proposal development Assist in providing pre-sales support Assist in determining detailed customer requirements Assist in preparing and presenting customer facing demos Assist in developing response to RFQs and RFPs Assist in negotiating project changes Assist in determining specific network requirements Assist in developing specific network solutions Assist in determining specific IP addressing requirements Assist in developing detailed implementation plans Assist in verifying accuracy of parts list against project requirements Assist in developing design configuration templates and/or scripts Assist in developing network info spreadsheet Assist in developing configuration templates Inventory and stage equipment received in shipping Run and/or support project cutovers Implement reference architecture design based on implementation plan Support implementation of network solutions Review other engineers' tasks and make suggestions for improvement Verify "best practices" are implemented Conduct acceptance testing Assist in drafting high level network diagrams Assist in deploying IP addressing scheme Provide knowledge transfer and documentation updates Other duties, responsibilities, and certifications relevant to business requirements as deemed necessary by service management Desired skills and abilities Provides learning opportunities for others Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Strong verbal and writing abilities Understand rationale behind decisions Identifies client needs Researches and applies solutions Oversees quality at team level Adheres to administrative practices Years of experience Minimum 5 years' experience providing engineering implementation support at an Integrator/VAR Knowledge / Training and Certifications Cisco certification and/or equivalent vendor and industry experience UC/Voice skills desirable.
