DESCRIPTION: This position will work and lead a team of engineers to design energy efficient buildings for the firms various clients. The position is responsible for designing the HVAC and plumbing systems for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects. DUTIESRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.Attend meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.Provides guidance to staff engineers as to the appropriate energy efficient designs to be implemented in various projects.Review contractor submittals to determine conformance with contract documents.Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.Confer with other engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.Research and analyze customer design proposals specification, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, apply knowledge of engineering principles.Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs. QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.PE Professional License7-12 years experienceAdvanced expertise with AutoCAD and RevitRenewable energy systems & net zero experience a plusAble to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; reads and interprets complex information; listens wellAble to assume a role of authority, as necessary; sets an example for coworkers; delegates responsibility and empowers associates to make decisions and take personal accountability for decisionsAble to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; realizes errors can have significant impact on desired results and is able to avoid errors in almost all circumstances; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details and organizes and maintains a system of recordsAble to manage multiple workloads and clientsWork requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand "abstract" principles behind math and physicsProficiency with Microsoft Windows including Microsoft Office COMPENSATION & COMPANY: Compensation package includes competitive base salary with bonus eligibility.
