USDI has been on the forefront of Innovation, providing our clients with cutting edge solutions and highly effective Talent Management Acquisition.Due to our continuous growth, USDI has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and experienced Software Tools Engineer to support our challenging engineering projects.Position OverviewThe Software Tools Engineer reports to the Director of Global Engineering Performance.The SW Tools Engineer develops and administers tools to support efficient, and often automated, workflows for carrying out all software engineering activities. This includes task automation, workflow customization, and tools administration. In this role, you will be selecting, deploying, and customizing commercially available software engineering tools to support the organization's process and quality goals. Your responsibility also includes development of custom tools and scripts and administration of SW tools and across multiple development locations.This position is enabling our customer to respond quickly and intelligently to the changing demands for software processes and tools.Primary responsibilities. Drive creative solutions and tools for team collaboration, software development and software testing. Recommend engineering tools to be used for SW development and project management. Develop engineering tools to support activities like software flashing, diagnostic services and customer data exchange.. Work with the IT department to administer all software engineering tools and licenses globally. Build applications and tool customizations to optimize and automate SW development activitiesEducation/Experience. B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant technical field. Practical software development skills using mainstream dialects (Java, Python, etc.). Experience with tools for Source Code Management (SCM), Continuous Integration, and static analysis. Experience with using and customizing engineering tools, such as DOORS, IQ-FMEA, MCAD, Enterprise Architect, Agile, etc. is desirable but not required. Experience with JIRA is an advantage. Ability to train and coach engineers in the usage of software applications and tools. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
