Job Description: Develops software for quantitative transmission ultrasound medical device under FDA design.
Participate in the design and implementation of sophisticated software for quantitative transmission ultrasound medical devices
Participates in establishing software architecture, software standards and processes
Interface with the Product development and Clinical teams to convert their requirements into functional systems
Involved in the full software lifecycle including product requirements, design, development, test plans, integration tests, deployment and support
Participate in software design and code reviews. Reviews include other Software Engineers and are held to ensure a high level of software quality and to share knowledge with team members.
Participate in, and adhere to, professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies as Agile Software Development, Source Code Management (git or SVN) and JENKINS
Address production issues in a timely manner. This includes root cause analysis and working with manager and team members to resolve the problem.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelors degree or better in a software related field, computer science, or electrical engineering is required. Masters or better preferred. 3- 5 years experience in a high quality/reliability environment, medical device experience preferred.
System implementation experience including hardware and firmware.
Demonstrated experience with Linux and C++ and integration tools such as SVN, git and JENKINs are required.
Work well independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in object oriented development using C++ and the Linux Operating System
Proficiency with unit testing and version control
