Services Associate Engineer
Scientific Search client has an immediate need for a Professional Services Associate Engineers. This is a 3rd shift position, responsible for triaging, troubleshooting and repairing Advanced Technologies in Routing & Switching. An incumbent in this position will also assist with pre-sales opportunities by working with more experienced engineers. This position will also perform new installs at the direction of the Technical Lead on the project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Systems Engineering and Sales Depts. to develop technical Solutions that meet customer demands
Work with Project managers to identify and build project plans for new implementations and installs
Perform staging and pre-configuration of equipment
Perform on site installs of designed equipment
Work with Help Desk providing day 2 support
Maintain current knowledge of the equipment and technologies he/she supports by attending training provided by the manufacturer
Work directly with a Customer both On-Site and remotely via the phone and/or Internet.
Should be comfortable to act as the lead Technical resource for basic installs
Should possess the ability to guide the Help Desk personnel in basic troubleshooting.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School diploma is required. Vendor specific certifications from manufacturers such as Cisco are required (ex: CCNA). 2 or 4 year college degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or MIS a plus. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Works predominately in an indoor environment but may be required to work outdoors occasionally
Required to use hands, arms and fingers to type, plug equipment in and unplug equipment
Ability to sit, stand and kneel
Required to use a keyboard and mouse
Be able to travel by trains, airplanes and automobiles.
Vision requirements include the ability to adjust, focus and view computer screen.
Employee is required to hear and talk in a clear and audible voice
Employee may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
The noise level in the work environment may be high.
The ability to work outside of normal business hours.
