3.4.2.1. Responsibilities
3.4.2.1.1. Designing Wireless LAN and WAN Networks
3.4.2.1.2. Router/switch configuration
3.4.2.1.3. Network diagnostics
3.4.2.1.4. Evaluating technological alternatives
3.4.2.1.5. Proposing technology platforms and architecture
3.4.2.1.6. Supporting implementation
3.4.2.1.7. Estimating costs and resources
3.4.2.1.8. Managing resources and projects
3.4.2.1.9. Preparing presentations for executive management

3.4.2.2. Minimum Requirements
3.4.2.2.1. Knowledge and experience with Radio Frequency (RF) fundamentals including radio wave propagation; antenna concepts and theory; modulation types and interference causes and resolution
3.4.2.2.2. Knowledge and experience with integration of wireless technologies to next-generation MPLS networks
3.4.2.2.3. Knowledge and experience with IEEE 802.11 standards including 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11i and 802.11n
3.4.2.2.4. Understanding of all wireless security practices and fundamentals covered in 802.11i
3.4.2.2.5. Knowledge and experience with deploying and configuring CISCO Wireless LAN Controllers
3.4.2.2.6. Knowledge and experience with configuring switch ports and controller interfaces and overall networking related tasks
3.4.2.2.7. Knowledge and experience with designing and implementing a CISCO 802.11 a/b/g/n network infrastructure to support various 802.11 clients

3.4.2.2.9. Knowledge and experience with analyzing and remediating wireless interference, coverage and throughput issues
3.4.2.2.10. Knowledge and experience with Proxim wireless AP system configuration and architecture
3.4.2.2.11. Knowledge and experience with performing an RF analysis to identify RF sources of interference that affect performance
3.4.2.2.12. Knowledge and experience with conducting wireless site surveys for CISCO 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi infrastructure deployments and direct experience resolving interference issues
3.4.2.2.13. First-hand experience in designing and developing wireless networks for mission critical systems
3.4.2.2.14. Written communication skills including ability to author client communications, Statements of Work, and strategic analyses
3.4.2.2.15. Public speaking and presentation skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organization
3.4.2.2.16. Minimum 5 years project management experience in a client service environment
3.4.2.2.17. Knowledge and proficiency with CISCO network products and services
3.4.2.2.18. CCIE certification

3.4.2.3.1. Minimum 5-10 years of Wireless Network LAN and WAN engineering, including demonstrated experience in the design, deployment and documentation of complex wireless data networks for indoor and outdoor mission critical systems utilizing CISCO products
