Our Arizona and New Mexico offices are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer in our Transportation Business Group. The primary duties of the Senior Traffic Engineer include working collaboratively as part of a traffic team and leading our growth of our Traffic practice in Arizona and New Mexico. The main focus may include a variety of traffic analysis needs for transportation projects, traffic analysis consisting of operational analysis using a variety of modeling tools ranging from Synchro to complex micro simulation models in order to analyze traffic scenarios including signalized intersections, roundabouts, urban arterials and freeway segments. The candidate should also have led or performed traffic analysis and developed and delivered the associated reports for evaluating roadway capacity, operational analysis, and signal warrant analyses.

Another portion of the work may include traffic design which would involve the development of traffic studies and design plans including Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) infrastructure, traffic signal, roadway lighting, signing, pavement marking, construction sequencing, and traffic control and sequencing plans for construction along with their associated specifications and construction estimates.

The candidate will plan, organize, supervise and check the work of staff professionals and technicians. Candidate must function as a technical specialist, task lead or project manager on projects. The ideal candidate has the proven ability to lead teams, has strong written and oral communication skills, and a desire to grow professionally as a senior project manager within a seller-doer business environment. Our ideal candidate also has strong leadership skills and the ability to build trust with clients and project stakeholders. This position will leverage the candidates experience to win work manage projects and lead multidisciplinary project teams.

Primary duties include providing design oversight for the production of a range of projects and tasks:

* Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

* Travel demand modeling

* Traffic impact analyses

* Traffic safety analysis

* Traffic signals and traffic management system design plans

* Intersection and roadway design

* Capacity and signal warrant analyses

* Lighting

* Signing

* Pavement marking

* Traffic forecasting

* Interchange traffic studies

* All aspects of an Intelligent Traffic Sub-system
