Job Description

3.4.1.1. Responsibilities
3.4.1.1.1. LAN and WAN Network design
3.4.1.1.2. Router/switch configuration
3.4.1.1.3. Network diagnostics
3.4.1.1.4. Evaluate technological alternatives
3.4.1.1.5. Propose technology platform and architecture
3.4.1.1.6. Support implementation
3.4.1.1.7. Estimate costs and resources
3.4.1.1.8. Manage projects and resources
3.4.1.1.9. Prepare presentations for executive management

3.4.1.2. Minimum Requirements
3.4.1.2.1. Must have experience in the integration of wireless technologies to next-generation MPLS networks
3.4.1.2.2. Knowledge and experience with networking fundamentals including configuring switch ports and controller interfaces
3.4.1.2.3. Knowledge and experience with network infrastructure and protocols (proprietary, IMS and IP), and latest LAN/WAN/ISP protocols (MPLS, BGP, SIP), as well as latest-generation routers, telecommunications switches, and other ancillary equipment applicable to the planned data/ telecommunications environment
3.4.1.2.4. Written communication skills including ability to author client communications, Statements of Work and strategic analyses
3.4.1.2.5. Public speaking and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organization
3.4.1.2.6. Minimum 5-10 years project management experience in a client service environment
3.4.1.2.7. Proficiency in formal project management methods, including internal documentation and external communications
3.4.1.2.8. Demonstrated ability to accurately project timing and associated costs across a range of project types, scales, and complexities
3.4.1.2.9. Knowledge of electrical power systems design and implementation
3.4.1.2.10. First-hand oversight experience on Voice over IP (VoIP) technical development efforts
3.4.1.2.11. First-hand experience designing and managing CISCO network applications
3.4.1.2.12. Ability to quantify the differences between commonly used applications and technologies, and speak to their merits
3.4.1.2.13. Demonstrated ability to produce required contract deliverables on schedule and within budget
3.4.1.2.14. Knowledge and proficiency with CISCO network products and services
3.4.1.2.15. CCIE certification

3.4.1.3. Experience Levels
3.4.1.3.1. Minimum 15-20 years of network/communications LAN and WAN engineering, including demonstrated experience in the design, deployment and documentation of complex data networks for indoor and outdoor mission critical systems utilizing CISCO products
