Field Service Engineer
A Fortune 500 Company Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Areas is seeking to hire an experienced Field Service Engineer in the greater Seattle, WA and surrounding areas. Chosen candidate will be responsible for customer service, preventative maintenance, inventory control, maintenance, service, repair, installation, calibration and troubleshooting of hematology, immunology and chemical analyzers and laboratory automation equipment.
If you have Prior Field Service Engineering experience working for Beckman Coulter, Ortho Clinical Diagnostic, ARKRAY, Abbott Labs, Roche, Bio Rad, Sysmex, Sebia or Siemens, or any chemistry or immunoassay instrument manufacturing company, then this position is for you!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Troubleshoot and perform general repair on analyzers/instruments within territory as assigned
. Perform periodic scheduled maintenance on analyzers/instruments.
. Submit reports in a timely and organized manner regarding expenses, create and maintain service/maintenance activity and reports and other administrative tasks as required and requested.
. Cross coverage for other FSE territories/customers as needed and requested.
. Inventory management - responsible for approximately $40,000.00 in parts/inventory. Organization and control of inventory is required.
. Proficient with MS Office Suite and general computer knowledge required.
. Associates degree in electronics or mechanical engineering or equivalent education and two years of related instrument servicing/maintenance experience, or five years of related instrument servicing /maintenance experience.
. Overnight travel is required. Amount of travel will vary based on customer/territory needs.
. Must have valid driver's license.
. Must be willing to submit to a drug test and background check.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION:
. AA degree with two years related experience, or five years related experience and/or training in medical instrument repair or similar instrument troubleshooting and repair without AA degree.
LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be proficient in English; both written and verbal skills are necessary.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts to include fundamentals of algebra, geometry and statistical calculations.
