The Senior Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting R&D Integration directorates to meet established schedules on developmental projects and new product introduction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and assist fab manufacturing on meeting R&D output goals and objectives
Perform routine preventative maintenance
Perform non-routine corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on area equipment
Work closely with counterparts in the equipment, production, and process groups to ensure that work is scheduled and prioritized to best support production while ensuring the quality of our product
Provide a strong technical resource for tool and maintenance system improvement projects
Maintain certifications current for equipment, safety, and incident response
Track and report daily activities through verbal and written pass down
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly requires sitting or standing and moving about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. Ability to lived up to 50lbs and wear a respirator on a regular basis.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Technical Engineering BS or MS degree
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
3+ years maintenance experience on Epitaxial deposition semiconductor equipment
Strong technical capability
Ability to troubleshoot system problems to board level required, component level preferred.
Ability to analyze equipment schematics for advanced troubleshooting of complex problems
Experience on one, or both of the following EPITAXY (EPI) tool sets required:
- ASM E-2000 Epsilon Reactors
- LPE 3061D Epitaxial Reactors
Experience with any of the following tool sets a plus:
- KLA/Tencor Four Point Probe Measurement Equipment
- Nicolet ECO-1000 FTIR Measurement Equipment
- Semilab SRP 2000 Measurement Equipment
- Semilab MCV 530L Measurement Equipment
Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, and standard engineering practices
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Ability and desire to learn and support additional toolsets
Ability to work any shift-compressed work-week schedule.
Ability to obtain respirator certification for use in the facility.
Proficient in MS Office Applications
Proficient in WorkStream functions
Self-motivated and ability to work well with others.
Ability to work independently using sound judgment and excellent decision-making skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
