Seeking Science and Technology (S&T) Senior Engineers/Scientists to support the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare and Combatting Terrorism Department (Code 30) at Arlington, VA. Duties include:
Conduct S&T program planning, management and execution
Assist Program Officers with development and refinement of S&T investment strategy
Assist Program Officers with development of BAA solicitation documents, and review of proposals
Support the Government Program Officer with management of technology program cost, schedule, and technical performance
Assess the impacts on S&T portfolios of disruptive guidance such as emerging strategic guidance, doctrine shifts, and budget changes
Assist Program Officers with analysis and assessment of technology and concepts, and their applicability to military application
Coordinate technology transition efforts
Develop reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio
Possess either (1) a PhD from an accredited institution in a relevant field of study and 10 years of relevant work experience, or (2) a Master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field of study and 12 years of relevant work experience. PhD is strongly desired.
Relevant fields of study are Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Network Science, Robotics, Computer Science, Autonomy, or Mathematics.
Experience in one or more of the following areas of interest: (1) Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence, or (2) Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4)
Must be published in their area of interest. Additional consideration given for extensive and meaningful publication in their area of interest.
Demonstrated experience providing technical, engineering, analytical, and program management support relevant to the required areas of technical expertise corresponding to the area of interest the candidate supports
Demonstrated experience executing or reviewing technical studies, analysis, or design activities in their technical field
Demonstrated ability in developing technical and strategic recommendations to achieve program objectives.
Ability to effectively work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government personnel is required.
Excellent MS Office skills are required.
DoD SECRET clearance is required.
Strong communications skills, go-getter attitude, and a passion for the Marine Corps and ONR missions are absolute requirements.
