Responsibilities Develop and service client relationships for existing and prospective client accounts Coordinate product installations, post-installation customer support and services Prospect, qualify, communicate and close new product and service opportunities based on analysis of clients' business needs. Provide technical and applications support to future and existing key accounts on the best way to customize the product for their usage Provide technical information and explanations regarding customer requirements to engineering and manufacturing teams Work with senior sales staff to prepare quotations and communicate expected delivery date Provide technical support to our sales team and customers while developing account requirement documents with the engineering team Support sales training of our representatives Gather market and competitive price data to assist in pricing analysis and strategy for assigned territory Maintain accurate customer database records and provide accurate forecasts and timely reports on sales region Prepare and represent company at national and international trade shows. Set up, support and exhibit at shows Update website, compose newsletters, etc. Preferred Qualifications U.S Citizenship or Permanent Resident status Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years experience within the laser, physics or laser manufacturing industry required Experience in technical sales, applications and engineering is required Experience with advanced optoelectronic products, laser diodes and fiber optics desired Excellent communication skills (verbal, writing, presentation) Consultative sales experience motivated sales engineer with a strong technical Self-directed with the ability to work independently Solid computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Power Point) High tech experience within a fast-paced, start up environment Successful track record accomplishing desired results Effective, hard worker with a team player "can-do" approach
