Job Description:

We are in search of a Service Manager that is passionate about hospitality and has experience creating and developing teams who provide exemplary service. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in becoming a part of an exciting, highly competent team. The right candidate will be detail oriented, well organized, have the ability to motivate a large staff, communicate effectively, and creatively think of ways to expand the business. Previous Service Manager experience in a fine dining environment is required, with a minimum of 3 years.If you have a detailed eye for steps of service and service standards and the ability to coach and counsel a team in real time and would like to ensure a quality dining experience to our discerning guest base we encourage you to apply. RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise / Manage daily dining room operations with a staff of up to 25 employees Assure exemplary service resulting in 100% guest satisfaction Staffing Interviewing and selection for front of the house employees Maintain staff levels to meet the business demands of the restaurant Write staffing schedules in a timely manner assuring staffing levels meet business needs Support staff by ensuring they have the tools to be successful in their jobs Training and development of front of the house staff to guarantee successful service executionManage staff according Standards set forth QualificationsBachelors degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience Supervisory experience in fine dining restaurantAbility to work well with people in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written and oralAbility to handle and maintain confidential information Ability to function and act independentlyAbility to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends and holidaysMaintain Servsafe and Allergen Awareness Certification The Bancroft Chophouse is part of The Webber Restaurant Group a family-run, independent restaurant group specializing in unique restaurant, catering, and event venue concepts in the Boston area (Gibbet Hill Grill, Scarlet Oak Tavern, Fireside Catering).
