You can make a difference by helping drive solutions that help increase member and customer satisfaction and company success. You will work with the best and the brightest partnering with technology and business leaders who are working to meet the dynamic needs of the national and local health care markets. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the agile transformation and for the successful execution of a scaled agile program (Release Trains) that support the delivery of strategic technology products or an overall value stream. This is a hybrid role that properly balances program management, agile coaching, and transformational leadership to help software development teams build and deliver solutions more efficiently. This role will heavily leverage the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to drive agile delivery within the release train. This position requires individuals who have successfully delivered software development initiatives leveraging at scale agile practices, demonstrated strong performance as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach and / or project management on distributed teams, and can drive and influence change and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. You will have a strong Program and Project Management background, a core IT foundation and understanding in the application development and architecture arena, and experience in traditional waterfall methods. Applicants should have experience leading teams and people from a human resources and career development perspective as this position has potential for direct reports. This role can be based in order as follows: Eden Prairie, MN or Boston, MA or Basking Ridge, NJ with Hartford, CT being an 'alternate' location. This role will encompass three core areas: IT program/project delivery, agile coaching of teams and finally agile execution lead. Primary Responsibilities: * Act as an Execution lead closely partnering with the Product Manager & IT Delivery Owner to guide one agile release train * Lead overall technology delivery to successful completion, operating within scope, budget, and schedule commitments * Establish program level cadence and drive program level ceremonies (e.g. Roadmap Planning, PI Planning, Product Management Council, Scrum of Scrums, Retrospectives) * Partner with Product Management to drive the definition and refinement of the program backlog * Establish and continuously improve an efficient delivery ecosystem while maintaining required governance processes * Facilitate consensus and decision-making with business, IT and executive management * Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to peers, team members, and Scrum Masters * Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on program-level plans, progress and quality * Facilitate coordination and dependency alignment between the program team and third parties, release managers, or between the team and other Scrum Teams * Manage program & release train financials * Establish and manage Risk and Quality for agile program * Foster a team collaborative environment that tears down silos between groups - act in a single voice * Develop, coach, and mentor team members to advance their skills and career * Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology and execution * Be a change agent and foster a "learn by doing" environment * Serve as an escalation for impediment removal for the Scrum Masters and scrum teams * Communication and engagement at multiple levels with both internal and external stakeholders * Management of matrix resources who may or may not be within a direct reporting structure * Actively contribute to the company's Agile and Lean Community through participation in the internal Agile Community of Practice Key Competencies: * Assertive : Must be able to ensure Agile / Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls. * Attitude of empowerment: Must be able to lead a release train and multiple teams to self-organization * Attitude of transparency: Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to both business and IT and build trust amongst partners * Collaborative: Ability to partner with others to achieve goals at various levels throughout the organization and lead other
