Refrigerant Engineer, Mechanical Engineering-

We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a background in systems engineering, refrigeration, or strong background in Thermodynamics and Fluid mechanics

We're seeking a Refrigerant Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Seeking a Refrigerant Engineer to research, plan, and design mechanical systems, and direct and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems within the refrigerant space.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine design feasibility or application.
  • Design products or systems with consideration for cost, performance, materials, maintenance requirements, appearance and impact on the end user.
  • Oversee all aspects of the design, development, construction and testing processes.
  • Conduct research into the function and application of different types of mechanical components material handling techniques.
  • Explore various possible machine configurations and aid in selecting the optimum design for satisfying the customer's processing objectives.
  • Perform the necessary calculations to predict the performance. Specify appropriate materials and components to ensure that the standards of performance, quality, cost and safety are met.
  • Use computer software to generate designs, models and documentation.
  • Assist in supplier selection and in the evaluation of incoming materials.
  • Provide manufacturing support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of assigned processes.
  • Serve as a technical resource to other departments to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Make engineering changes and improvements within the CAD environment and process engineering change requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure customers are satisfied, consistent with expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews with design team members and read and interpret technical materials.
  • Provide product support on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the minimum qualifications cited.

Education, Experience, and Work Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field from four-year college or university. Master degree preferred

5 years' experience with Refrigerant design

Solid Modeling (SolidWorks Preferred) experience.

AutoCAD experience.

HVAC required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

EPA Universal Refrigeration Card a plus.

EPA or Refrigeration Certificate a plus

HVAC certification a plus
