Job Description

We are currently looking for Signal Construction Engineers. The Signal Construction Engineers are responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating construction activities related to NYCT signal projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
. Provides inspection services for NYCT/MNR/SIR/LIRR construction activities.
. Capable of performing work with little or no supervision.
. Capable of interpreting project plans, circuits, layouts, installation methods and communicating on a daily basis with the contractor.
. Reviewing contractor submittals for constructability and compliance to contract.
. Prepare inspectors' daily reports and other project related reports, as-built etc.
. Assist in preparing field change orders, or directives.

Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
. Experience with conventional signaling systems or other systems.
. Experience working on NYCT, MNR, LIRR, SIR, NJ Transit, and Port Authority projects.
. Experience working directly with railroad force account a plus.
. Good verbal communications skills.
. Experience in the installation, testing, systems integration and commissioning of signal systems.
