Job Description

Quality Manager - Plating

Location: Cleveland, OH

Reports To: CEO

Qualifications: AUTOMOTIVE & ELECTRO-PLATING REQUIRED

  • 10+ years Experience in an ISO 9001/TS 16949 quality environment.
  • 10+ years Experience in Electro-Plating
  • 5+ years in Management
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, strong analytical and communication skills are required.
  • This position requires the ability to meet deadlines, so a flexible schedule is required.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize their importance is required. It is also necessary for this person to be able to schedule and lead meetings with a broad range of people.
  • Ability to operate precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, and indicators).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads projects to establish, maintain and continuously improve our company's Quality Management System and processes to meet ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 requirements
  • Supports the internal audit program, performs internal audits, documents audit findings, drives the resolution of issues found during internal audits, and reports audit findings to management
  • Supports the development, implementation and improvement of the document management system and ensures compliance
  • Facilitates and supports problem solving efforts in manufacturing and support organizations
  • Analyses data as basis for continues improvement activities
  • Support Engineering with the implementation of adequate process control systems including the development of related documentation
  • Assists with the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents
  • Manage non-conforming material, vendor non-compliance, and customer complaints
  • Develop, implement and maintain the quality plan and metrics to direct, monitor and address quality processes, and quality procedures
  • Scrap reduction through KPI data analysis
  • Establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality system that embodies all components of company's business processes and ensures that expectations are met for customers, regulatory and specifications
  • Performs PPAP's
  • Performs internal audits
  • Data analysis / problem solving
