Automotive manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer.

Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer

  • Works with plant cross-functional teams to support customer issue resolution including product containment, problem investigation, team problem solving, countermeasure planning and implementation, internal/external reporting, material disposition.
  • The development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the ability to use metrology and advanced statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices.
  • Provide support to ensure flawless launch of new or changed products and processes

Requirements for the Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Math, Science, Business, or Engineering
  • 3+ years Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in reading and interpreting Engineering drawings
  • Experience with ISO9001 and/or TS16949 Quality systems is required
  • Have a working understanding of AIAG Automotive quality tools (i. e. APQP, Flow Charts, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA GR&R, and standard problem solving tools and statistical techniques
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international.
