We successfully complete hundreds of construction projects each year partnering with the Bay Area's most respected general contractors for clients such as Google, Apple, LinkedIn, the San Francisco Forty Niners and more. Rebarber is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer.


Summary:
Manages all aspects related to understanding, designing and delivering construction projects to ensure quality control, profitability and client satisfaction.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Able to grasp design intent and collaborate with clients to ensure expectations will be met
  • Ensures design intent is understood through a comprehensive submittal process
  • Manages the construction schedule through knowledge of lead times and by coordinating and communicating with construction partners
  • Assists in maintaining and updating Safety and Environmental Programs including training in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Maintains and monitors purchasing of materials to ensure that both the schedule and the budget are maintained
  • Works with construction partners to ensure changes are both incorporated and accounted for with regard to timing and cost
  • Manage the flow of construction documents and ensure all agreements are made in writing
  • Supervise clerical and field staff while managing many projects simultaneously
  • Effectively communicate with and respond to managers, clients, customers, and staff
  • Responsible for a timely, high quality installation that meets the client's expectations
  • Provides timely and accurate invoicing and other necessary closeout documentation to the client and follows up until progress and retention payments have been collected

Skills Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as well as: read, analyze, and interpret architectural plans and other essential construction documents, have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quickbooks, must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills, work well under pressure by prioritizing tasks to meet critical deadlines and work well in a team setting.


Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience in the construction industry.
