BASIC JOB FUNCTION:
Act as internal technical consultant for a specific discipline to insure all related construction activities are performed in
Accordance with accepted professional (and company) practices and standards.
Daily responsibilities include thorough review and assessment of all required project submittals for compliance with project contract drawings and specifications as well as coordination with other trades. The project engineer will obtain and track these submittals to assure timely approval by all required consultants to allow for a continuous, uninterrupted work flow on the site. This individual will likewise originate, log, track and disseminate all R.F.I. information associated with the project as well as maintain, current updated sets of all project record documents. All logs including but not limited to R.F.I., submittal, issue, lead item and document logs will be updated on a daily basis and distributed to all project personnel as necessary.

. Provide expert technical support to company personnel as required resolving field construction or similar problems. May include interpretation of codes, design of specialty equipment, etc.
. Develop, issue and maintain general instructions and guidelines for field construction methods utilizing current industry and company practices.
. Develop and maintain current work controlling documents, which set mandatory minimum requirements for work, authority, documentation and record requirements in accordance with applicable codes.
. Review A/E specifications, bid inquiries, etc. to insure technical and code requirements for material, equipment and field activities are met.
. Continuously research, evaluate, and recommend implementation of new (or improved) construction processes, equipment, material, techniques and methods as technology improve.
. Participate in constructability reviews of design documents to help determine most cost effective and schedule efficient method of construction.
. Perform additional assignments per Project Manager's direction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
. College degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience. Advanced technical Degree preferred by not required.
. Minimum of 3 years extensive experience related to assigned discipline.
. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of discipline; construction technology, equipment, materials, methods, etc.
. Proficiency in problem solving and written/verbal communications skills is essential.
