Job Description:

Project Engineer Compensation: $75K to $95K plus 6-8% bonus Description Our client, a leader in the Surface Coating industry, is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join its team. Initially based in Mississippi, this role will support the development of a brand new Surface Coatings facility in conjunction with another leader in the industry. The role would then move to the Northeast (Or be based in Northeast the entire time with significant travel) with continued support of projects nationwide. The Project Engineer will support the product management team with projects associated with ancillary installations involving thermal spray processes. While in-office, he/she will provide telephone support to customers, perform customer demonstrations for thermal spray applications, equipment, and development projects. The Project Engineer will also be required to travel to customer locations to engage in all activities associated with ancillary equipment installations. Primary duties include:Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with managementDetermining project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimatesDetermining project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractorsConfirming product performance by designing and conducting testsDetermining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elementMaintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problemsControlling project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actionsControlling project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contractsPreparing project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actionsCreating and revising detailed SolidWorks CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and other engineering documentationParticipating in design and drawing reviews, prototype builds, and verification testing and documentation Qualifications Qualified candidates will have:4 year technical degree (Mechanical Engineer or similar) and at least 5 years related experienceAbility to read and understand technical drawings, including basic wiring diagramsAbility to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawingsSkilled in the use of currently available test and measurement equipmentMust be familiar with Microsoft Office based computer programs such as MS Project, MSOffice, Solidworks Etc.Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% domestically and internationally (Unless based in Mississippi during project)PMP certification preferred
