Salary Range: 60-65k + $200 per day for each Saturday or Sunday worked

Production Engineering is responsible for new business implementation by performing customer consultation, generating Process Instructions, design and procurement of tooling and fixtures. The Engineer is responsible for procurement of supplier designed equipment when necessary. Responsibilities include daily production support via scrap reduction & process improvement.
. Degree in Engineering;
. Extensive 3D modeling experience,
. Broad knowledge of foundry tooling, operations and quality,
. Proficient in: Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point
. Prior experience working with Kaizen or Continuous Improvement work teams is preferable,
. Foster open communication and champion change,
. 3D Cad design of foundry tooling fixtures & weldments, create BOM, generate 2-D drawings of components and assemblies, (Solid Edge, Solid Works preferred.)
. Research & Develop new casting, machining processes to improve efficiencies,
. Implement new business by procuring equipment associated with the manufacture of grey iron castings,
. Procure gages, fixtures and ancillary tooling necessary to the production of grey iron castings,
. Responsible for completing assignments as well as documenting scope of work, maintaining timelines and financial data,
. Production problem analysis; Determine scrap cause and pursue immediate correction,
. Monitor and Direct process improvements,
. Create & review process instructions and associated standards,
. Responsible for insuring engineering, design, layouts and supporting specifications necessary for procurement, construction in accordance with parameters,
. Schedule & Implement ECN's as needed.
. Ensures equipment produces product that meets customer specifications,
. Take an active part in supporting Kaizen activities and the continuous improvement plan,
. This position represents the Company 24 hours a day 7 days a week for circumstances of business necessity, emergency.
. Work area is normally heat/air-conditioned in an office-type environment, with some time spent in a shop floor environment. Hard-hat, safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toed boots required on production floor.
. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The associate is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
