POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for product line management of
company's products globally. The global scope includes but not
limited to North America, South America, Europe, India, and China.
This position will be responsible for developing product strategies
and product lifecycle plans, in collaboration with the regional teams,
that leverage company's product, technology, supply base and
manufacturing footprint, while minimizing proliferation, and meeting
regional customer requirements. This position will also collaborate
with the regional teams to identify, evaluate (including strategic
rationale), and develop new business opportunities through the
development of new products or the establishment of license
agreements, joint ventures, or acquisitions. Program management of
revenue growth and cost reduction programs, Evaluation of long-term
viability of businesses/strategies and business/functional units are
also included in the job scope of this position.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Accountable for developing product strategies that
leverage company's technical capabilities and global presence in
order to give company a competitive advantage in each of our regions.
Responsible for developing a collaborative working
relationship with the regional teams in North America, South America,
Europe, India, and China and jointly developing product plans that
meet local customer requirements while adhering to the global product
strategy
Responsible for the achievement of the business
unit's objectives
Responsible for program management for programs
involving business units in different regions
Accountable for recommending pricing while
balancing profitability of the regional business units involved in
business focused on maximizing business value from a product, and
optimizing a product to achieve the business goals while maximizing
return on investment.
Supporting pricing, profitability, program
management of projects involving international sales
Responsible for interfacing with Marketing for
branding, product naming, etc. globally
Responsible for identifying, evaluating and
developing new business opportunities through the introduction of new
products or the establishment of license agreements, joint ventures,
or acquisitions. Understand the technology stack and most importantly
understanding the level of effort involved to make the right
decisions.
Responsible for reviewing and approving the
strategic alignment and product specification definition of all
programs globally
Responsible for collaborating with the global
manufacturing strategy team in the development of the most efficient
manufacturing strategy / footprint to support the product strategy
including Make/Buy.
Responsible for collaborating with the global
purchasing team in the development of the most cost-effective supply
chain strategy to support the product strategy including make vs. buy
analysis.
Responsible for collaborating with engineering to
define the technologies necessary to enable the product plan
Responsible for maintaining and adjusting the
product strategy as business or market conditions change

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering Preferred; Business Degree
required
* Strong understanding of company products; Strong understanding of
the competitive industries in North America, South America, Europe,
India, and China preferred
* 5 - 10 years related positions; International experience
preferred
* Manufacturing experience in similar industries preferred
* Strong collaboration and communication skills; Ability to interact
with various regional groups and influence decision-making
* Strong analytical and negotiation abilities
* Would require regular international travel
