PROCESS ENGINEER/ESTIMATOR
Responsible for providing quotes and estimations for potential new
business using the established quote model including supporting the
organization in the application of new technologies and growth to
sustain business development goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
By using the current quote model, past documentation and new
concepts provide best in class quotes for equipment, tools and gauges.
Develop, implement low cost, high quality processing and assembly
solutions for new business applications.
Develop engineering standards, including cost of
new capital equipment, tooling, fixtures and gauges.
Assist sales group in developing solution based
processes to achieve growth objectives
Interact with customer on program development
activities
Support the company's approach to capital
equipment deployment and flexibility

BACKGROUND/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering on technical
field required
5 years of experience in process engineering
quoting and estimating new work in the automotive, aerospace, heavy
duty truck or other industrial industries
Ability to read an analyze part and mechanical
drawings including GD&T and be able to provide design recommendations
for ease of processing
Detailed working knowledge of various machine
tools and their applications, foundry processing methods and
terminology
Current skill set in Lean Manufacturing methods
and six-sigma tools
Creative thinking and seasoned judgement
resulting in breakthrough ideas and results
Ability to process machined components and
assemblies and define cost for machine tools, fixtures and gauging
Working knowledge of time and motion studies and
analysis including workstation and line balancing techniques
Good understanding of correct ergonomic practices
and machine safety protocols
Ability to communicate effectively with the
customer, suppliers and vendors
Strong CNC Machining experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and
AutoCad/ProE/Catia
