Description: About the Opportunity As an API Architect at Pitney Bowes, you thrive on leading a new business opportunity with API's and delivering with precision. You see opportunities where others see challenges. Build. Deploy. Bridge. Grow. In this role, you'll join our API team in Danbury CT and report to the Director of Product Security. You will be responsible for\: * Work with PB product and engineering teams to ensure that we are developing easy to use RESTful APIs, user friendly developer portals, and following the best practices * Define and implement API architecture from endpoints to backoffice systems * Participate in API launch go-to-market and operations * Ensure that development, testing, and deployment of APIs are successful by coordinating solutions between subsystems * Keep technical documentations up-to-date Together we'll work toward protecting our client data by design and implementation of secure products in all Pitney Bowes' lines of businesses. Qualification: Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years of engineering and development experience -building public and private APIs, involved in design to deployment * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred. MS degree preferred. * Guru in API design, best practices, and user support. Eat, sleep, and breathe APIs. * Proficient in REST, JSON, XML * Expertise with security - OAUTH, SSO, SSL * Experience in API versioning, key management, monitoring, scaling, rate limiting, caching, and testing Preferred Qualifications * AWS Experience * Apigee API Management Experience * Experience in agile * Guide API documentation and developer portal development * Strong presentation skills The Team Our global Innovation team is dedicated to using the best-in-class tools, processes and modern architectures to create great experiences for our clients.
