Job Description

A well-qualified plumbing contractor is currently looking for new project manager trainees/project engineers to add to the team as Direct Hires.
A competitive candidate would be a college junior/senior or recent college graduate majoring in construction management or related majors. Track outstanding bids and current job backlog
Prepare competitive bids that result in profitable jobs
Manage all aspects of the projects from the estimating stage to the final completion.
Manage technicians, coordinate manpower
Order, organize and generate submittals, RFI's
Establish relationships with customers
Coordinate with other project managers to handle existing backlog and/or estimates
Transfer information and other paperwork to administration for billing or other purposes
Must prepare and maintain detail files which contain jobsite notes, billing information, CCB required paperwork, technical product specifications and other information relevant or specific to the job.


Plumbing, HVAC, LEED and Mechanical Systems.
Familiar with Plumbing and Mechanical code
Demonstrated abilities of estimating and project management
Accounting concepts including, budgets and forecasting
Construction industry practices
Technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office, experience accounting job cost systems, other project and estimation software


Plan take-offs, engineering documents
Creating, building and maintaining customer relations
Must effectively and professionally present information to clients and management
Excellent communication and negotiating skills
Exhibit adequate field technical support expertise.
Time Management and deadlines
Managing multiple projects effectively and successfully
Attentive to detail, accuracy
Be able to learn and apply new technology as needed
Must have a valid driver's license
Have a working knowledge of OHSA rules and safety


Must have 2 - 5+ years plumbing and project management experience

Required experience: Project Management/Project Engineer: 5 years

Required education: Bachelor's
