The Role You Will Play

Our Plant Electrical Engineers have strong background in motors, controls and automation systems in heavy industry. Our engineers plan ahead and manage plant improvement projects that keep the plant running at top performance. With that in mind, you are able to create compelling business cases to sell your project ideas and you know how to drive the projects to successful completion. You are able to specify your needs and manage vendors while collaborating with peers across the organization. In fact, though you are a part of a high performance team, you directly influence project and plant success and you have high visibility to the most senior levels of management. You are an outstanding communicator who is comfortable talking with factory personnel, operations staff, plant management, and senior leadership. You understand PLC and DCS systems and you know how to specify functional changes that will drive performance improvements. You are familiar with Lean and Six Sigma. You are inquisitive and are always striving for ways to improve. Background Profile:

  • 5+ years manufacturing and electrical engineering experience
  • Engineering degree required
  • Commissioning and startup experience a plus
  • Experience in heavy industry required, hot or cold rolling background preferred
  • Experience driving process improvement Six sigma/Lean experience preferred
  • High energy, self-starter and leader
  • Excellent communicator who works effectively with little or no supervision
  • Team player who works well in a collaborative team environment
