Job Description:

Responsibilities ProcessEstablish & evaluate SMT, Selective Solder, Conformal Coat, Overmold, & Press Fit manufacturing processesSource necessary tooling to support those manufacturing processesProvide programming and technical support for those manufacturing processesCoordination and training of SMT operatorsResponsible for coordinating and expediting engineering prototype ordersResponsible for reviewing PCB board house check plotsProvide board panelization inputs and reviews of bare board manufacturing requirementsParticipate in new product design reviews and provide Design for Manufacturability feedbackCollaborate with stencil house to order stencils and review check plotsDevelop labor quotes to support sales of new productsResponsible for preparing and executing New Product Introductions (NPI's)Lead continuous improvement projects and corrective/preventative action plansMonitor PCB process efficienciesMonitor PCB manufacturing qualityResolve process challenges, including SMT defects and assembly flowEnsure equipment preventative maintenance is performedCreate/Maintain work instructions, work methods, and proceduresGenerate PFMEA documentation Design Support (Training will be provided if needed)Layout printed circuit boards using Altium softwareMaintain corporate Altium integrated library of manufacturing approved symbols & footprintsAdministration of Altium ReleasesCreate/Maintain work instructions, work methods, and procedures RequirementsTechnical degree preferred but experience, training, and certifications will be considered2+ years directly related SMT manufacturing experienceIPC-610 training a positiveFamiliar with boards manufacturing/test processes (automated pick-and-place, reflow oven profiling, stencil printing equipment, soldering process and tooling design, AOI)Ability to work independently or in a team settingBe able to work effectively in a sometimes ambiguous environment with minimum supervisionAbility to manage multiple projectsMust be computer literate and possess basic PC skillsAble to stand and walk, lift objects weighing 30 lbsAble to see close and distant objects with depth perception and focusAble to handle small hand tools, power tools, and operate all production equipment
