Job Description:

Operations Manager for a small independent oil and gas company with operations in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Wyoming. Should be experienced in all phases of oil and gas operations: drilling (vertical and horizontal; exploration and development), completions, workovers and production. Will be responsible for monitoring daily production on 100+ producing wells to identify discrepancies and opportunities to increase production/reduce costs while simultaneously managing the drilling of 5 - 12 wells per year. Additionally, duties will include: Preparation of daily drilling reports Preparation of authorities for expenditures Manage the completion of all regulatory filings Cost management and invoice approval Conduct well reviews with management and field personal to ensure production is at its peak efficiency Analyze problem wells and recommend remedial action and prepare detailed procedures for implementation The company is looking for an innovative thinker who can work closely with management, geologists and the land department and who can delegate but also step in and be hands on as needed. Minimum of 10 years experience and degree in engineering required.
