About this role: Located in Jesup Georgia, the Operations Engineer is responsible for technical support to a designated operating department to improve quality and productivity, reduce costs, improve process capability and reduce variability. Ensures the operation functions efficiently and in compliance with all associated environmental permits, laws and regulations as well as mill standard policies and procedures. Provides coordination with other departments, contractors and engineers/consultants on process improvement projects Required Qualifications * BS Degree in a technical field, preferably Chemical Engineering, Pulp and Paper Technology, or Chemistry. * Minimum one year of pulp mill experience. * Basic engineering knowledge including unit operations, equipment design, material balances and chemical reactions. * Excellent computer skills with software systems/applications.
