The following is a breakdown of roles, responsibilities, and expectations for the Innovative Solutions Network/Systems Engineer. The position is responsible to assist in managing department resources and culture as well as internal processes to impact our customer base in order to positively impact value based on our:

1. Technical Component
o Analyze, implement, support, and provide recommendations on cloud based solutions to clients (such as: AWS, Azure, and Office 365)
o Project Management of network infrastructure initiatives
o Enterprise level network infrastructure design, implementation, and management
o Manage and own IT support operations for multiple clients
o Analyze environments and subsequently write assessments, gap analyses, and presentations on IT solution recommendations
o Coordinate and/or perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems and attached devices; including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new network hardware and software.
o Participate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems.
o Provide technical consultation, training, and support to clients and their staff.
o Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
o Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to clients
o Participate in server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
o Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
2. Account Management Component
o Engage with clients to understand their strategic direction and collaborate with them to align technical solutions to their business objectives
o Provide input and recommendations to Team Lead(s) and sales on direction and strategy within accounts
o Build trusting relationships with clients and facilitate consistent and regular communication between client and Innovative team members
o Partner with the sales team to assist with pre-qualification of opportunities in small to mid-level accounts
o Produce regular reports for clients and IS Leadership to provide evidence on how we provide value and make a difference.
3. Internal Contribution Component:
o Act as a liaison between clients and all IS resources
o Actively participate in team meetings and cross functional interactions.
o Keep team members and supervisors informed of progress and issues with accounts
o Participate in internal team meetings
o Lead account status meetings
o Continuously seek new business opportunities for IS and its clients
o Contribute to R&D projects to validate/invalidate new services and solutions for IS catalog
Consult the innovative sales and marketing teams to drive success in growing the Innovative Customer base
Contribute as a project manager as needed
Facilitate optimization of at least 4 existing accounts, from which new engagements and business will be generated
Participate in completion of a monthly report to clients you work with to demonstrate value in the experience IS provides
Maintain a defined billable utilization goal for the year after 2-month ramp-up period
Education /Professional Experience
Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant program)
5+ years professional experience in a business setting
Cloud Implementation and support experience preferred (AWS/Azure/Office 365)
MCSE, CCNA, or VCP preferred, but not necessary
