The Network Engineer will be a mix of a hands-on individual contributor who is also team oriented player that takes direction well. This is currently a 5 Network Engineer team with heavy focus on Cisco (6500, 4500, series 4300 routers, etc.) for two Data Centers and 100 Campus Networks. Responsibilities: Plan, design, and implement Data Center networked systems, including configurations and support.Independently troubleshoot network issues and investigate underlying problems. Coordinate with vendors for the installation of required items, to include Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls.Evaluate and implement changes in conjunction with your Sr. Network Engineering and Project Management resources.Participate in peer review of all changes implemented.Act as Network lead in researching, identifying, analyzing, resolving problems, and implementing solutions and/or enhancements independentlyMake recommendations based on problem research and analysis.Interface frequently with cross-discipline support teams, e.g. Database, SAN, Web Applications, eCommerce, Servers, etc. to coordinate activities across groups in order to achieve success and provide seamless network operations.Develop and interpret network design and solutions to meet immediate and future business needs.Mentor others in a lead capacity and represent the department in workflow and escalation discussions as necessary.Ensure network documentation and network schematics are correct and up to date. Requirements: BS Degree preferred5 years of Network Infrastructure experience1 year of experience with Cisco Nexus (with Fabric Path preferred)4 years of experience with EIGRP Routing4 years of experience with BGP Routing4 years of experience with IP QOS4 years of experience with F5 Load balancing and Citrix Netscaler3+ years of experience in a Cisco Enterprise Environment 4 years of experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls (Cisco PIX is ok)Basic knowledge of a variety of technology interfaces such as SAN, Databases, Web Applications, eCommerce, Servers, etc. Pluses: Cisco ISECisco Wireless Palo AltoCCNPVoIP Local candidates only.
