*****Local Candidates Only*****No Third Party Candidates***** Summary Join a dynamic and forward thinking Global Network Services Team, dedicated to the architecture and support of best-in-class secure data network solutions to exceed the needs of a demanding and challenging company. This position is primarily targeted at delivering and supporting client security solutions to provide holistic end-to-end network security to a truly global organisation. The ideal candidate will take on the role of operating and supporting existing legacy client security solutions remediating threats and attacks as they arise. The experience gained will be essential to then take a lead role to design and implement the next generation of client security solutions. This will be achieved by working closely with the Information Security Department and Client Vertical Team to understand current and emerging threats and agreeing the appropriate strategies to address them over the short, medium and long-term. The position will also provide the perfect opportunity to develop skills in other emerging areas of network security including network access control (NAC), application control, identity awareness, threat analysis as well as network firewall services. Over time, the successful candidate may also work with other members of the Global Network Services Team and the wider IT organisation to inspect network security requirements of IT projects and engagements with customers and other third-parties. This will lead to the recommendation and implementation of the necessary network security controls where appropriate for each project. Candidates must be able to utilise their own judgment to resolve problems and perform research. They will be comfortable addressing both routine and non- routine related problems for the business. They will be able to perform tasks that are not always clearly defined and are not part of a regular workflow cycle; participate in customer conference calls and/or face to face customer meetings to discuss technical and security issues and be at ease when accessing assistance and expertise from within the wider IT organisation. Sound documentation of technical support issues using the available tools is an essential element of the role. Main areas of responsibility: Keep clients safe: Using a variety of reporting tools and internal processes, hunt for active and potential threats across the range of clients including Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and mobile Provide recommendations for the remediation of identified client threats Work with network team colleagues to implement network controls to minimise threats to and from clients Develop installation routines and troubleshooting guides for endpoint protection and other client security tools Provide level 3 support for uncommon client security installation issues (client endpoint protection & firewall issues, policy changes, etc.) Undertake basic malware analysis Provide stats and analysis to show both the effectiveness and gaps in client/network security Develop and improve reporting tools for client security awareness Vendor management for client security solutions Develop and implement client security strategy: Research and recommend solutions for continuous improvement in client security Develop implementation and support plans for new solutions Maintain a current understanding of existing and emerging security threats Partner with the Information Security team to understand business security requirements General Operations Support: Achieving the highest standard of operational support, availability and customer satisfaction is a fundamental objective. To meet this objective you will be part of a globally positioned network support team, providing level two support across the broad range of network services owned and maintained by the network team. You will also develop effective implementation plans and support procedures for network solutions you help to design and implement. As part of a rotation you will also provide out of hours and on-call support for networking services globally and provide extended on-site cover during business quarter end. You may also be required to travel occasionally within North America and Internationally. Preferred job qualifications and experience Bachelor degree in a computer science/engineering related discipline and/or relevant industry certification in IT security Solid understanding of antivirus and malware tools including installation, support and policy design) Practical experience of the use of antivirus and malware tools in a large or corporate environment Supporting desktops and laptops running Microsoft Windows (Windows 10, Windows 7, and Mac OS X) Knowledge of current threat landscape and techniques Experience with Symantec Endpoint Protection v12 and/or Malwarebytes Other Desirable Skills Experience with network firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco etc.) Experience with typical networking solutions including LAN's and WAN's Experience with Splunk and/or SIEM products Experience of NAC (ClearPass, Bradford etc.) Project Management experience Requirements: Interpersonal skills: Comfortable with Video & Voice Communication, face to face communication; possess good active listening with a focus on the customer Good communication skills both verbal and written, short term operational project management experience Strong remote troubleshooting and support skills Excellent documentation skills using content management systems and standard Microsoft tools (Visio, Excel, Word) Must be customer focused and able to multitask and switch priorities quickly to meet the needs of the business On-Call rotation support and willingness to work flexible hours
