About The Position
Our technology team strives to create solutions but also thrives in an environment of constant learning and improvement. So every day is unique and challenging. Work is performed primarily in Visual Studio 2015 in C# leveraging the Xamarin platform with an assortment of companion productivity and coding quality tools. C# skills are exercised and honed continuously on the job, as is Xamarin.iOS, Xamarin.Android, Xamarin.Forms and overall mobile design and enterprise architecture. There is an ample mixture of new feature work as well as bug fixes and enhancements on an established product platform with five years of maturity. The Jira platform and companion plugins are utilized to form the backbone of the team's agile process orientation.
You work well in a team environment, and enjoy the support and shared learning experience from a group of peers who are just as jazzed about technology as you are. But you also like to work autonomously and have a lot of freedom to be creative and inventive. While you have ample experience with the below technologies, you are constantly learning new tricks. Other requirements include:
Degree in computer science or related field
Deep knowledge and experience in C# and Visual Studio 2015
Deep knowledge of mobile application architecture and design
Deep knowledge of Xamarin.Forms
Experience in development with highly transactional, mission critical applications for multi-user systems
Experience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes,
testing and operations
Proficient with xCode/iOS/Objective -C/Swift development OR Java/Android Studio/Android SDK
Experience with consuming RESTful web services, JSON, JSON-RPC
Your personal values are as important as your technical abilities. We seek people who practice servant leadership. That is, you are motivated to serve and bring the best out of other people. While you do amazing work, you are humble and give credit to those around you when things go well. When things go badly, you accept responsibility and seek solutions rather than pass the blame. That doesn't mean you are passive. You have a Warrior's Spirit. In other words, you take your work a little too seriously. You value discipline and seek constant improvement for its own sake. You aren't afraid of conflict when it leads to speedy resolution. Oh, and you're in a hurry (so are we). Getting there first matters to you.
