Mid-level Engineer Position Description Position Summary:Provide mid to senior level engineering and analytic support for Navy Submarine Array Programs. Work closely with the customer to identify programmatic support for successful development and testing of Anti-Submarine Warfare systems.Principle Duties & Responsibilities:- Develop acquisition documentation, including follow-on contracts, purchase orders, statement of works, etc.- Review and assess data and documentation pertaining to current and future submarine programs.- Support development of signature requirements and assessing achievability.- Provide technical guidance to the U.S. Navy in developing and executing integrated submarine signature S&T/R&D programs.- Interact with all submarine stakeholders and participate in technical review and programmatic meetings.- Identify and coordinate resolution of programmatic and technical issues, recommending solutions, and assisting in the implementation of solutions. - Provide recommendations for, and developing, reviewing, maintaining, and updating program support documentation.- Research and provide cost, schedule, and technical data for formal/informal briefings and presentations. - Evaluate future system concepts, analyzing alternate approaches, and identifying their relative merits. Coordinating and conducting technical tradeoff studies of alternate approaches to improve ASW systems - to include performance, reliability and maintainability, cost, and other quantifiable system parameters. - Conduct engineering assessments of program system implications of new technologies, identifying critical item tests, and assessing methods for reducing risk. - Coordinate and perform studies and analyses, and provide recommendations to resolve technical issues in all programs - reducing complex issues into clear and concise presentations.- Provide support services for the technical and programmatic management of a Navy Acquisition program in accordance with Navy acquisition policy and regulation (DoD Instruction 5000.2 series and Joint Capabilities Integration Development System series).- Effectively communicate with government, military, and university communityRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- Familiarity with ASW- Drafting Security Classification Guideline- SECNAV testing guidance policies- Acquisition and Contracts experience Your future duties and responsibilities Required qualifications to be successful in this role At CGI, we're a team of builders.
