Well known company is looking for a mid-level mechanical engineer to to oversee various mechanical related projects within the 5 Boroughs of NY.

Description of Work:
Monitor and oversee construction work being performed by the contractor, compliance with contract drawings and specifications, approved safety and quality procedures.
Supervise staff of field inspectors.
Prepare field reports and other construction documentation.
Review shop drawings and product catalog cuts submitted by the contractor.
May serve as a resident engineer on construction project.
Gather information and perform analysis of contractor?s performance.
Inspect installation of mechanical system s and equipment during construction, associated civil/structural and electrical work.
Organize and conduct meetings with project team members, contractors and end users to discuss and resolve design and construction related issues.
Prepare necessary construction documentation and inspection reports.


Qualifications Requirements:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in mechanical engineering. A Master's degree from an accredited college in mechanical engineering will be accepted as equivalent to one year of full-time satisfactory experience in mechanical engineering.

Experience Requirements:
Required work experience shall be as follows:
Four years of full time experience in supervising, administering, managing and coordinating a construct ion project with value of 10,000.000 and more.
OSHA 30hrs certification
Lead Awareness training

Special/Desired Skills:
Experience in excess of required four years is desirable.
Knowledge of Building Codes and industry standards
Working knowledge of Constructware internet based construct ion management software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skill s.
The selected candidate shall be comfortable with working in close proximity to hazardous electrical and mechanical equipment.
