Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

Credentials ~

Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a valid driver's license from the State of legal residence and a demonstrated acceptable driving record as determined by Drag-N-Fly Services' policy and/or insurer;

CDL preferred.

Must possess own hand tools at a depth and breadth to perform the majority of repairs.

Must have tools to include:

Socket sets ranging in a variety of sizes

Sockets, Extensions, Ratchets, Hex Key Sockets, Etc.

Wrenches

Both Standard and Metric, Offset Open End, Tubing wrenches, Pliers / locking pliers, Channel Locks, Etc.

Miscellaneous

Screwdrivers, Ball Peen Hammers, Air Tools, Impact Gun, Punches, Hacksaw, Pry Bar, Tape Measure, Etc.

Certified Education, Training, and certifications preferred, but not required

Associates Level Education
Specialty Training

I.E. ASE Certification
Etc.

Experience~

Ten (10) plus years of diesel and gasoline maintenance and repair required; field service experience preferred. May substitute education years for experience (1 year of education = 1 year of experience)
Knowledge of current practices, equipment, materials, and supplies used in the mechanical trade.
Worked in an employment situation of requiring flexibility of scheduled hours, forgiving and unforgiving deadlines/timelines.
Experience: The ability to provide descriptions of particular experiences; i.e. full overhauls, wiring experience, fuel systems, electrical systems, etc.
Experience of Self-directed / self-initiated work tasks:

Skills and Abilities~

Strong, effective, and collaborative communication in writing, speaking, and interpersonal communications with persons having a variety of diverse cultural, educational backgrounds, styles of communication, and personalities; computer proficiency required.
Safe and proper use of mechanical tools and repair equipment.
The ability to read, write, and understand English, along with interpreting documents (safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.)
Perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure).
Able to work independently with little to no supervision.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
Acceptance of constructive criticism/feedback for continued and positive development and performance.
Demonstrated maturity; autonomy; ability to analyze and prioritize a given situation for action needed, and critical thinking skills.
Self-directed and self-initiated scheduling of work tasks to meet standards and timelines of a designated process and/or organizational requirements.
Meet physical requirements of the position.

Supervision Received:

Reports to/Direct: Owner/President

Supervision Exercised: None.

Collaboration With: All customers, employees, outside agencies; vendors

Compensation Status: Paid for billed hours $35 to $45 an hour -- DOE/DOQ (Dependent on Experience/Dependent on Qualifications)

Hours: Flexible ---- 40 to 60+ hours of direct billing per week (direct billing is pay for actual work performed on vehicles)

DNFS focus is on diesel vehicles, especially tractor/trailer and customer diesel pick-ups. DNFS also provides service to trailers and can complete DOT inspections.
DNFS is looking for candidates interested in providing mechanical services in a fast paced environment, in which the candidate can provide quality work in a timely manner.
