Responsible for supporting the Manufacturing operation in a team oriented environment. Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Foundry, Sales, Purchasing and Quality Assurance.
Participate in the development and maintenance of manufacturing capabilities. Investigate the application of new technology to the manufacturing environment for the purpose of continuous improvement and cost reduction. Assist in the specification, procurement, and installation of machinery, tooling and software. Specify and or design tooling, fixtures and inspection equipment through the use of 3D solid modeling software. Provide support in the form of troubleshooting tooling and machinery problems, implementation of process improvements, and the introduction of advancements in manufacturing methods. Provide CNC programming support through troubleshooting and the use of Esprit CAM software. Participate in the product design process so as to tailor the designs to existing manufacturing capabilities.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Or, applicable course work and work experience as deemed appropriate by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Proficient in the use of solid modeling software, preferably Solid Edge. Minimum of three years experience in a machining environment is required.
