We are seeking an enthused, resourceful, driven and team-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturability effectiveness on the front end of our manufacturing processes. This role will also provide key support for our Quality Management System.
Some core responsibilities of this role include:
Review customer drawings for manufacturability.
Creating drawings and simple fixture designs to facilitate mistake-proof manufacturing.
Coordinate and review the drawings of Webco's drafting team.
Monitoring and tracking the production of fixtures
Managing internal projects to timely completion related to process improvement, equipment acquisition and corrective actions.
Communicate GD&T sampling requirements to production floor, assuring conformance of product to customer specifications: Create quality plans
Development of manufacturing standard work for new or modified parts
Assist with the management and enhancement of our Quality Management System.
A positive CAN DO attitude
Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Must be a Certified Manufacturing Engineer or working towards completion of certification within one year.
Autodesk Inventor proficiency is required.
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Previous exposure to GD&T is required.
Experience working with an ERP system is desired.
Previous exposure to all elements of the Automotive PPAP process, either through work experience or coursework.
Computer literacy including the ability to write simple queries and reports is strongly desired.
Proven time and project management abilities are also desired for this role.
