Job Description

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Project Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Clyde, Ohio.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee the execution and control of plant Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance versus goals.
  • Consistently ensures that area job responsibilities are promptly and efficiently carried out and nurtures a high level of leadership and team performance.
  • Retain principal responsibility of processes and performance across 3 shifts.
  • Deploy strategic initiatives defined in planning process and oversee the execution of activities to achieve goals. Champion lean through daily coaching in lean tools and methodologies
  • Drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility relative to business objectives
  • Prioritizes and organizes short term and long term goals and activities in accordance with business objectives
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Whirlpool manufacturing standards/methods
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Whirlpool Leadership Model
  • Develop strategic plans in which business goals and objectives are met; talent development, customer focus and employee engagement
  • Practice positive employee relations and develop self and others
  • Employee mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective actions as necessary

What You Need to Succeed

  • 4 year college degree with emphasis Business or Engineering or 7-10 years equivalent experience in field
  • Proven leadership skills across multi levels of an organization
  • Proven technical experience with mechanical processes
  • High performance candidate with experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated to identify, analyze and independently work to find solutions and follow issues
  • Possess excellent judgment and analytical skills including detailed planning and project management
  • Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks
  • Proven ability to grow individual and organization competency through proactive coaching and mentoring
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and a team environment
  • Demonstrated success in a multi -tasking environment
