The Visual Pak Companies is a privately held multi-million dollar group of entities each bringing an expertise to supplying high-volume tolling or turnkey options to expand our capabilities to service some of the largest consumer product companies in the household, personal care, automotive and food markets.

With our continuous growth, we seek a Machine Mechanic to be responsible for packaging production equipment set up, adjustment, maintenance and repair to accommodate various products, package dimensions and production volumes. The ideal candidate will have strong proven knowledge and experience in machinery and mechanical equipment and tooling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain equipment to ensure an uninterrupted flow of production.
  • Repair equipment when failure occurs and return equipment back into production in a swift, efficient, effective, and timely manner.
  • Maintain parts for repair and maintain equipment to minimize down time, as well as perform preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain and document work in maintenance logs and P.M. logs daily/weekly or as necessary.
  • Rebuild equipment that is offline for future uses.
  • Setup equipment for jobs to be run.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Streamline and continually look for ways to reduce costs on parts and labor required to maintain equipment.
  • Monitor and check safety devices on all equipment and repair any problems immediately.
  • Work with assigned crew to ensure projects achieve quality work on time and on or under budget.
  • Work unsupervised and take initiative.
  • Produce accurate, high quality work to tight timescales.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a directly related field.
  • Knowledge of setup and operation of lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, welder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Ability to read and understand Electrical schematics
  • The ability to troubleshoot and repair/replace electrically operated components, such as motors, safety devices, and other electrical controls.
  • Familiar with industrial electrical voltages varying from 480v A/C to 24v D/C.
  • Well versed in L.O.T.O procedures
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers to capture requirements as well as with other Visual Pak Companies' employees in a team environment.
