Job Description


The Lean Product Development Engineer supports the WCE (World Class Engineering) coordinator in the deployment and continuous improvement of the WCE Methodology (Lean Product Development) with an inter-functional team approach aimed on improving the engineering processes and tools by reducing projects development costs, development time and increasing the delivered quality.

WCE introduction: There are inefficiencies and waste that can be eliminated only if World Class principles and methods are applied to the research and development process of the products. This is how the World Class Engineering (WCE) came about. The WCE adopts the same approach of WCM by focusing on the 10 focus groups i.e. Market research, Innovation, product planning, process management, Design, Cost Deployment, Knowledge management, People development and Office environment.


Supporting WCE responsible by studying and deploying the WCE methodology and Lean product development tools to the R&D department.

Supporting WCE responsible in achieving the targets defined by the top management and the WCE Leader.

Understand the LEAN product development principles and other waste elimination techniques and tools i.e. Value stream mapping, Six Sigma, DFSS, Taguchi Methods, 5S, Non Value Added activities etc.

Conduct regular assessments and project reviews with WCE Project Leader to assure accomplishment of key results.

Train and mentor the WCE focus group leaders in the practical application of WCE tools to lead improvement initiatives.

Develop a strong working relationship with area management and engineers.

Coordinate calendar of events, training, and audits.



- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Management.


- Capable of understanding the dynamics of a complex human organization.

- Good understanding of waste elimination tools/ i.e. Six Sigma, DFSS, Taguchi Methods, Value
Stream Mapping etc.

- Ability to effectively learn and communicate.

- Good understanding of Microsoft excels, PowerPoint etc.

- Knowledge of design and manufacturing engineering tools is plus.
